Molly Schaeffer
Molly Schaeffer is a Portland-based artist and writer. A founding editor of the journal Big Big Wednesday, she graduated from Bard College with a degree in creative writing. Molly is interested in the intersections of language, textiles, and drawing, and makes art that merges these disciplines. Her work has been published in a number of books and publications, including illustrations for Sarah Mirk’s Sex from Scratch and Leslie Allison’s Martha. Her poetry has been published in Weekday Journal, the Burnside Review, and Bearings. She recently contributed a zine, Years Old, to “Connections,” part of ALLGOLD’S residency at the MoMA PS1 Printshop, and she will be a resident at Have Company in Grand Rapids, MI in early 2016. Her drawings have recently been up at Bluebeard Coffee Roasters in Tacoma and the Fresh Pot in Portland. Molly’s work can be viewed at cargocollective.com/mollyschaeffer.
